I am NOT going into unemployment!!!! Yipeeee!!!
I can breathe again! Thanks to all of you for all your prayers and support.
Yipee!!! I got a job!!! And it is the one I absolutely loved!!! Great place, wonderful people, and away from Long Island!!
Well... quite away from Long Island:
Michigan: here we come!!!
I will be in the area looking for a house (or a condo, or whatever!) next week.
Me and the family, and the dolls of course, will move on the last days of August, or first of September.
I am sooo excited!!!
My girls are all dressed in white for the trip (I am paranoid regarding staining by the dresses) and DD's are all nekid for the same reason, but since we run out of white clothing... sorry officer prasnlrd!
Tomorrow I will wrap them in zillions of yards of natural muslin and put them in a trunk with baking soda socks, ready for the trip. Thanks to all of you for the tips!
Now I know that I will be with them in a week or so!! No extended storage!!!
And now for the thing that I AM: First thing I did today (I just got the job offer two days ago!!!) was to make reservations at AGPC for DD's birthday in October! Yes, I am and AG goner and proud of it!
I am soooo excited: close to AGPC, but no taxes in mail orders!!! Yohooo!!!
This is shaping up! All I need is a code and I am ready to fly! No more 9.75% taxes!!!
Yipeeeeeee!!!!
Does it show that I am excited???

Congrats on the new job!
What part of Michigan? And to think, I'm beginning to suspect I'll have to leave to find employment!

Congrats, on both the new job and the future AGP trip! And what a charming place you're moving to, if I do say so myself

Yay! Congratulations! Sounds like the perfect location (AGP is close and no tax on orders). Plus, you could probably go to the MCM sale in the summer....

We extend an early welcome to Michigan (I'll be just over an hour north of you). BTW, it doesn't snow here. We just get lake effect (which just means lots of snow).
But just to warn you, my tax preparer had us go through all receipts from last year and we did have to pay sales tax on all mail order purchases (talk about embarrasing when my DH saw that amount!). Another friend in tax prep concurred that Michigan is tightening it's reigns on mail order purchase sales tax. At least it's only 6%.
